James Maciver Costumes

In 2024 and 2025 I got the wonderful opportunity to work at James Maciver Costumes as a seamstress. The company made custom costumes that were worn on stage in many big venues around the country and many cruise ships. My job includes using a range of different industry sewing machines, cutting out fabric from in house drafted patterns but my main responsibility was working as a hand finisher. Adding all the little details onto a costume that make it look professionally made such as hand sewing buttons, adding rhinestones and coming up with creative to finish costumes that is innkeeping with the look of the design.
